What Your Airport Outfit Says About You.

Airport photos are essentially a right of passage at this point. Regardless of where a person is traveling, taking that signature airport photo to post on social media is a critical to starting off your travels on the right foot. What I wanted to do for you guys is share some of my practical airport styles.

Many of you have reached out asking me to help plan outfits for vacations as well as packing tips so I went through most of my photos to pull out a few ideas.

Regardless of where you are going, your travel time and what your preference of comfort is, I guarantee you there is a way to be stylish.

I am going to break this down primarily by travel time. Short travel time would be a direct flight, roughly 4 hours. Mid length travel time would be upwards of 4 hours and less than 10 hours. That includes layovers for connecting flights. Overnight flights, anything longer than 10 hours, and multi-day trips.

Travel Time: Short

Upon Landing: going out

Flights over feelings? Quick flight to the girls and heading to brunch right after? This is one of my favorite chic outfits that make adulting seem real.

2 piece co-ord sets, quick, easy, non-wrinkle and easy to pair with your heavy sneakers.

This is probably one of the only times I will spend time getting ready to fly. Normally I do not wear makeup on the plane but for short trips with plans after, I make the exception.

Travel Time: Long

Upon Landing: going out

This is a typical outfit that I will wear for either direct flights or flights with quick layovers. Generally, I chose comfort over anything when it comes to traveling however I when flights are quick, I usually have something planned to do once I land. In order to ready for landing I plan an outfit using the heaviest articles of clothing. Jeans, sneakers and a jacket are easy ways to eliminate those extra pounds in your suitcase. Two birds one stone type of situation.

Travel Time: Long

Upon Landing: Going to the hotel

One of the easiest airport tricks that I have found comes to my rescue more often than not, is wearing my tennis shoes on the plane. Not only does this help with saving tons of space in your bags, but also helps alleviate those extra pounds that you would have to lug around over your shoulder in your carryon.

For me, I always have to have a pair of white tennis shoes.

Travel Time: Overnight

Upon Landing: going to the Hotel

Airports and airplanes alike, are always freezing cold. Layers or thick clothes are a must. When flying over night or having extended layovers, I opt for loose fitting sweaters and leggings.

Comfort is all that matters when it comes to these. long flights.
