Seamless Travel Made Easy With Uber Reserve.

As the world continues to prepare for a world of travel post pandemic, it is fantastic seeing companies roll out exciting new programs. This time around Uber is the company taking themselves to the next level. By rolling out the expansion of the airport reserve tool, an additional 55 airports around the world are now included.

Last year, Uber rolled out a new feature called Uber Reserve, which allowed users to book a ride in advance for a specific date and time. Originally this feature for a few US airports. As a frequent traveler, I was excited to try out this new option and see how it could make my travel experience more seamless.

First things first, I had to update my Uber app to the latest version, which included the Reserve option. The process was straightforward, and I was able to easily navigate through the new feature's interface. I entered my pick-up and drop-off locations, selected the date and time, and was given a fare estimate. It was as simple as that!

What I appreciated most about Uber Reserve was the peace of mind it gave me. As someone who has experienced the stress of waiting for a ride to arrive at a critical moment, the ability to book a ride ahead of time was a game-changer. I no longer had to worry about whether or not I would be able to get a ride at a specific time. Instead, I could rest easy knowing that my ride was confirmed. Now the tool allows you to book rides up to 30 days in advance making planning your trip out that much easier. Another key feature I find comfort in, is knowing that the driver will wait up to 60 minutes for the passenger at no additional charge. This complimentary waiting period was a game changer for me after one of my flights was delayed. By the time I landed, my driver was still around to pick me up.

One downside to Uber Reserve, however, was the lack of flexibility. If my plans changed, I was unable to modify or cancel my reservation without incurring a fee. That being said, I understood that this was a trade-off for the convenience of having a ride booked in advance.

Overall, my experience with Uber Reserve was positive. The feature was easy to use, and it gave me peace of mind knowing that I had a ride booked in advance. While it may not be the best option for those who need flexibility in their travel plans, it is an excellent tool for those who want to ensure a seamless ride experience. Now that the reserve feature has expanded to include an additional 55 airports across the US, Canada, Italy, France, and South Africa, I look forward to using Uber Reserve on my future travels and seeing how the feature continues to evolve.
