Viva Las Vegas
What first started as a quick trip into town for the Lovers and Friends Music Festival, quickly evolved into a sleepless four days in Sin City. I am sure I am not the first nor the last to have a similar experience in this city either. It truly is captivating. It is sensory overload. It is bliss.
For my first time in Las Vegas, it was perfect.
I can now understand why people have always walked around speaking about Vegas as though it is an experience from another world. Truth is, nothing was more exhilarating than spending all day running through the city, seeing and trying everything possible, to only have that followed by incredible night life that quickly turns into morning-glory. Before I knew it, I reached the end of my four days in what felt like a blink of an eye. I guess that is what happens when sleep is the very last priority, all the days blend together and feel like one never-ending day.

Places to eat.
Chart House:
This high-end dining experience is one that can be found in only a few areas across the country. With an 75,000 gallon aquarium filled with exotic fish at the center of the restaurant, this intimate steak and seafood dinner was a highlight of the entire trip. For those finding it a bit trickly to located, it is off East Fremont St. inside of the Golden Nugget Casino and Hotel’s Rush Tower. We took advantage of happy hour here on Friday night. Happy hour is Monday - Friday from 4 - 6 pm.
Lago by Julian Serrano:
Located in the Bellagio Hotel, chef Julian Serrano’s restaurant stretches from the indoor casino floor, to the edge of the water fountain outside. The modern concept of small plates focuses on bringing the fresh Italian flavors to Las Vegas. With Serrano’s emphasis on his guests tasting all the flavors of Italy, he suggests a two primi plates and one secondi. I must admit though, the small plates are quite filling so I did not make it through several plates. If you are lucky to get a reservation for outside seating, the water fountain shows that takes place each hour makes for an exciting show between courses.
Ramsey’s Burgers:
Located inside The Linq hotel. These burgers are amazing the perfect thing to grab between day parties and a night out.
Tacos El Gordo:
The best tacos on the strip. Open until 2 am, making it a great stop while having a night out.
Mrs Coco Cafe:
Slighting outside of Las Vegas, in Henderson, there is the quaintest, French inspired cafe.
